Hypergram is an app and a social network for creating and sharing image filters and artwork to unleash your creativity in intriguing new ways. Hypergram lets you create filter-presets by combining an arbitrary number of filter-primitives, including gradation curves, a variety of blur-filters, keying-filters, masks, image generators of all kind and much more. Your creations can then be shared with the rest of the world by publishing it on the Hypergram network.
Hypergram is also an amazing professional photo-editor. In contrast to other photo-apps, Hypergram doesn't compromise on features in order to give the user a questionable easier interface. Features and flexibility are always the number one priority.
Whether you enjoy diving deep and create technically advanced filters or just want to take some beautiful images and share them with the community is up to you. Of course you can just scroll through other people's work and getting amazed by what they have done, too. Leaving a like or comment certainly will encourage them to create more great content.
Hypergram is constantly enriched with more and more creative features over time. Although there's already a long todo-list of new things to build, your feedback can be very helpful to make the right prioritizations and letting us think out of our box.
Basic Operation
These are the basic controls:
- Open a picture from the camera roll
- Configure the source which is either a camera or still image
- Pause the live feed from the camera to continue to work on a still image
- Take a picture and save it to the camera roll
- Post a picture on Hypergram and share it with the community
- Capture a video and save it to the camera roll
- Select the camera from a list, including depth- and fisheye-options
- Further options like picking a template image or manage your subscription plan
Long-Press
Long-press a preset, filter, mask or plus-button to access a comprehensive set of actions like copy/paste, moving, grouping, uploading to Hypergram, etc.
Modal Parameters
All parameters with this symbol can be tapped to access additional functionality in a modal full-screen view like manipulating transformations, drawing polygons, etc.
Filter Referencing
The arrows indicate the flow of images between the filters in a chain. The unlabelled input is always the main-one. Some filters have more than one input, like for keying or blending. Generator-filters don't have any input at all. Every filter can have a mask and a blend-mode, which add additional inputs when used.
The connections between filters can be configured by setting relative distances. For example, -1 means, the preceding filter's output is used. -2 means, the filter at one position earlier is used, and so forth. The earliest position possible is called "root", which respresents the camera input for a top-level chain or the input of a nested chain.
Special Symbols
There are some special symbols you should be aware of:
- The X means, this filter is not referenced by any other filter or output and therefore is not rendered to avoid unnecessary processing. You might consider deleting this filter
- The arrow means, this filter doesn't do anything and therefore isn't rendered to avoid unnecessary processing. This is the case for example with a blur filter with the amount set to zero or a brightness/contrast filter with all parameters at neutral position
- The strikethrough eye means, this filter is disabled
From a processing flow perspective, in the latter two cases the filters behave like a copy operation (altough there's internally no actual copying happening). This especially means, the (main) input references of these filters are forwarded.

We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.
The Hypergram app stores and processes personal data that you have provided to us, to provide my Service. It’s your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. The app does use third-party services that declare their Terms and Conditions.

You should be aware that there are certain things that Dominik Seibold will not take responsibility for. Certain functions of the app will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider, but Dominik Seibold cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, and you don’t have any of your data allowance left.
If you’re using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that the terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing the app, or other third-party charges. In using the app, you’re accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the app outside of your home territory (i.e. region or country) without turning off data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you’re using the app, please be aware that we assume that you have received permission from the bill payer for using the app.
Along the same lines, Dominik Seibold cannot always take responsibility for the way you use the app i.e. You need to make sure that your device stays charged – if it runs out of battery and you can’t turn it on to avail the Service, Dominik Seibold cannot accept responsibility.
With respect to Dominik Seibold’s responsibility for your use of the app, when you’re using the app, it’s important to bear in mind that although we endeavor to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we can make it available to you. Dominik Seibold accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.
At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on iOS – the requirements for the system(and for any additional systems we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Dominik Seibold does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the iOS version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you, We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you.
